Voted on by a panel of 125 sportswriters and broadcasters, Philadelphia 76ers guard Michael Carter-Williams was the only unanimous first-team selection.
Kelly Olynyk (Boston Celtics), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Gorgui Dieng (Minnesota Timberwolves), Cody Zeller (Charlotte Bobcats — now the Hornets) and Steven Adams (Oklahoma City Thunder) were named to the second team.
Kelly would have made an all-rookie third team if such a team were recognized.
The Duke forward received 29 points in the voting, placing him 14th overall, behind Ben McLemore (Sacramento Kings), Pero Antic (Atlanta Hawks) and Nick Calathes (Memphis Grizzlies).
Through 59 appearances, Kelly averaged 8.0 points and 3.7 rebounds a game, while shooting 42.3% from the field and 33.8% from three-point range.
The Lakers can make Kelly a restricted free agent this summer with a $1.1-million qualifying offer.
