Nathan Hall of Big Bear (2-2, 1-0) gained 149 yards in 10 carries and scored on runs 4, 39 and 59 yards against visiting Notre Dame (0-1).
Burbank 63, Hoover 18
Mike McDonald completed 12 of 16 passes for 312 yards including five touchdowns for host Burbank (2-2) at Burroughs High. Jason Barbic rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns in 11 carries and caught a 42-yard touchdown pass while Kelly Blatz caught eight passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns for the Bulldogs. Shaun Kermah rushed for 171 yards and three touchdowns in 21 carries for Hoover (2-2), which trailed 49-12 at halftime.
Chadwick 20, Capistrano Valley Christian 14
Running back Chris Kim scored the go-ahead touchdown for Chadwick (4-0) with 50 seconds left in the game, the Dolphins had trailed the entire game prior to the play. Host Capistrano Valley Christian drops to 1-3.
Linfield Christian 31, Webb 6
Senior Chuck Wilson had 11 carries for 143 yards and two touchdowns and on defense had two interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery and defensive end Corey Melander had seven tackles and a forced fumble for visiting Linfield Christian (3-0-1). Webb drops to 1-2.
Placentia Valencia 33, Corona del Mar 3
Placentia Valencia scored touchdowns following three turnovers and Rylon Thomas rushed for 103 yards in 18 carries and scored twice to lead the Tigers to a 33-3 victory Saturday night against Corona del Mar at Newport Harbor High.
Valencia (4-0), ranked No. 4 in Southern Section Division VI, took a 6-3 lead on a 72-yard fumble return by safety Rashad Chambers late in the first quarter and never looked back. A muffed punt set up a seven-yard touchdown reception by Josh Racobs midway through the second quarter, and Thomas scored on a 28-yard run following Dedreck Floyd's interception late in the third quarter for a 26-3 lead.
Corona del Mar (3-2) is ranked No. 5 in Division IX.
