Patrick Dempsey lists his Bel-Air home
Dr. McDreamy has listed his Bel-Air home at $3,595,000.

Actor Patrick Dempsey, who plays heartthrob Dr. Derek Shepherd on the popular medical drama " Grey's Anatomy," hopes to sell a New England traditional with four bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms in 3,841 square feet.

The house, gated and hedged for privacy, has a fireplace in the living room and a formal dining room. There is a pool, a brick patio and a large, flat lawn. There is also a matching treehouse with a porch that sits high up on the slope of the property.

Dempsey, 43, has donned his surgeon's scrubs for 93 episodes (thus far) of the ABC show. He's been nominated for two Golden Globes for the role, which also earned him the moniker Dr. McDreamy because of his good looks and sex appeal. He gave new meaning to wearing a five o'clock shadow.

Dempsey also starred in the movies "Made of Honor" (2008) and "Enchanted" (2007). His acting credits date back to the mid-1980s. Dempsey, an avid skier and car racer, will be driving a Ferrari at this year's Le Mans 24 Hours.

Brett Lawyer of Sotheby's International Realty, Sunset Boulevard office, is the listing agent, according to the Multiple Listing Service.

'Creek' alum lists his Encino digs

Whatever happened to Jack McPhee? Oh, right, he wasn't real. Kerr Smith, the actor who played the gay teenager on "Dawson's Creek" for about half a dozen years, has listed his Encino home at $1,479,007. Who knows? Maybe it's his lucky number.

The French country house was brought down to the studs and rebuilt completely. The home has exposed wood rafters, a gourmet kitchen with Viking appliances, a saltwater pool and spa and a detached studio/media room with two LCD televisions. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms in 2,911 square feet plus the detached room, which adds 380 square feet of living space.

The gated property, about a quarter-acre in size, has a courtyard and gravel paths that meander through the yard.

There are fireplaces in the living room, family room and master bedroom suite as well as an outdoor fireplace.

Smith, 37, starred in the recently released "My Bloody Valentine" (2009). He also guest-starred on "Eli Stone" and was a series regular on " CSI: NY" (2007).

Brett Karns of Keller Williams Beverly Hills and Kara Karns, Keller Williams Encino, share the listing.

'Restless,' and ready to move on

Has John Abbot, patriarch of the fictitious Genoa City, truly left the building? "The Young and the Restless" fans will have to figure out that one themselves, but the actor who played Abbot for 23 years on the daytime soap is selling his two-story Encino house.

Jerry Douglas and wife Kym have listed their 4,400-square-foot Cape Cod-style home at $3,999,000. It has five bedrooms and six bathrooms plus a one-bedroom guesthouse near the pool.

The main house has a dramatic entryway with vaulted ceilings and hardwood floors. There are four bedrooms upstairs and one on the main living level. Two of the bedrooms have large balconies overlooking the grounds, which include rock gardens and a hillside waterfall. The gourmet kitchen has a Viking stove, a warming oven, a double oven and large butler's pantry. An old oak tree frames the house, which sits on half an acre.

Douglas' character was written out of the "Young and the Restless" story line in 2006, but he reappeared several times and eventually came back as a new character. He supposedly has left for good, but only time and TiVo will tell.

His wife, Kym, is the author of "The Black Book of Hollywood Diet Secrets" (where we learned that Heidi Klum eats a salad dressed in vinegar before she goes out to dinner because she heard that vinegar may be an appetite suppressant), "The Black Book of Hollywood Beauty Secrets" and "The Black Book of Hollywood Pregnancy Secrets."
