Toasted Walnut Pumpkin Cookies

2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
3/4 cup softened butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 cup pure pumpkin
3/4 cup toasted walnuts ( chop and place on baking sheet at 350 for 5-7 minutes)
powdered sugar for dusting

preheat oven to 350
lightly grease a baking sheet (or cover with parchment paper)
In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, cloves and allspice and set aside

In large bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add in egg and almond extract. Stir in pumpkin until well combined. Fold in flour until dough forms. Add in walnuts.

Drop by tbls. onto prepared baking sheet, gently press dough down. Bake for 9-10 minutes until edges just starting to brown. Take off sheet and cool on wire rack or parchment paper. Dust with powdered sugar. ENJOY!
