Kansas State falls at Oklahoma State

Rodney McGruder finished with 22 points but Kansas State wasn't able to hang on down the stretch, losing to Oklahoma State 76-70.

Le'Bryan Nash and Marcus Smart each finished with more than 20 points, scoring 24 and 21 respectively.  Oklahoma State hit 15 of 17 free throws in the final four minutes of the game.  Kansas State was just 4 of 7 from the line in that same time span.

Oklahoma State outscored Kansas State 36-24 in the paint, but Kansas State got 23 points off the bench compared to the Cowboys' 6.

The loss threatens Kansas State's chances of winning at least of a share of the conference title for the first time in 36 seasons.  If Kansas loses to Baylor the Wildcats will win a share of the Big 12 title.  The loss by Kansas State automatically gives Kansas at least a share of its 9th straight Big 12 title.
