The world's most famous doll has long been the target of criticism for creating unrealistic images. But what would Barbie look like if she were modeled after the average American woman?
One artist has an answer.
CDC, a typical 19-year-old's measurements are 32-31-33. Scaled up to human size, Barbie dolls would have unrealistic measurements of 36-18-33.
Her neck is nearly twice as wide, her legs shorter and her head a tiny bit smaller.
Lamm told the Huffington Post he thinks the new doll would sell.
"A realistically proportioned Barbie actually looks pretty good," he said. "What's stopping Mattel from making one?"
