Police were called to the home after someone reported strange odors coming from it. Officers quickly determined the odors were associated with a meth lab. Police made contact with the residents and found an active "one-pot" or "Shake and Bake" methamphetamine lab inside.
Meth labs can be volatile and dangerous, so officers evacuated nearby homes to be safe.
A hazmat team was called in to clean up the lab and make is safe for transport.
A search of the home turned up methamphetamine production paraphernalia, marijuana, and drug use paraphernalia.
A 24-year-old man was arrested in connection with the lab. He's at the Cowley County Jail on numerous drug charges. His bond is set at over $100,000.
