Deceased Lodi Student Identified By Peers, Officials
A student from Lodi High School collapsed and died suddenly during a gym class designed for physically-challenged students Wednesday morning.

The student, identified by a peer as junior Tyler Hinton, collapsed shortly after 10:00am. School officials tell FOX40 staff members attempted to revive Henson by performing CPR until medical officials could arrive.

Hinton was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

An e-mail setnt to the staff of Lodi High School detailed the incident this morning. The students name was not released to staff members in Wednesday's bulletin.

Lodi High operated on a minimal-class schedule Wednesday. Students and parents were expected to be notified by school offocials by Wednesday afternoon.

Grief counselors will be available to students and staff on campus when classes resume Thursday morning.
