Plans for parties at area restaurants and speculation over draft picks surround the Sacramento Kings.
The Kings have the seventh pick of the draft and it’s still up in the air who they’ll choose.
Frontrunners include 22-year-old BYU shooting star Jimmer Fredette, Final Four MVP Kemba Walker and 18-year-old Congolese newcomer Bismack Biyambo. There are also rumors for a trade for Spurs point guard Tony Parker.
FOX40 is told that the Maloofs were very impressed with Fredette during his visit to Sacramento to work out with the team, while G.M. Geoff Petrie liked several of the players he saw.
Draft parties are planned to be held at several locations this afternoon including Dave and Buster’s in Roseville, Bull Wings in Elk Grove and Pizza Rock in downtown Sacramento.
The NBA draft is scheduled to begin in New Jersey at 4:00 p.m.
