SACRAMENTO COUNTY—The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department E.O.D. team responded to the scene of suspicious devices found in both Antelope and Citrus Heights.
According to authorities, just before 10 a.m. Sunday morning someone noticed some flares wraped in ducktape lying in the street gutter at Palmerson Dr. and Don Julio Blvd. in Antelope. The E.O.D team worked to make sure that the device posed no threat. They blew up the device around 11:15 a.m.
Sacramento Sheriff's Sgt. Tim Curran said, while they were out on the call in Antelope, they were notified by Citrus Heights Police that some sort of device was found in Citrus Heights on Trailride Way and Saddle Horse Way. The Sheriff's Department's E.O.D. team assisted Citrus Heights Police in dealing with the device found there.
Citrus Heights Police told Fox40 News, that the device was determined to be a firecracker taped to a basketball, and that it posed no threat to the public after further investigation.
