LOS ANGELES -- He may have recently won several "Teen Choice" awards but teen heartthrob Zac Efron probably isn't celebrating a lawsuit against him.

According to the suit filed in Beverly Hills Smalls Claims Court, Efron crashed into a Checker Cab in June 2006, which then rear-ended plaintiff Katie Porter's vehicle.

Porter apparently did not recognize Efron at the time, but says he was very polite after the incident.

She's seeking $1,200 for repair costs and $400 for a rental car. Porter apparently has not yet been paid because the insurance companies Efron and the cab company each claim the other is responsible for repair costs.

Porter's father, who lives in Oklahoma, is also reportedly seeking reimbursement for plane and motels costs during the ordeal.

Efron's people have not yet commented on the lawsuit.

The actor on Sunday took home three "Teen Choice" awards -- One for music/dance movie actor in "High School Musical 3" and one each for comedy movie actor and rockstar moment in "17Again."
