BEVERLY HILLS (KTLA) -- High winds -- some as strong as 100 miles per hour -- were no match for a large, old tree in front of the home of "Grey's Anatomy" star Eric Dane.

According to neighbors, the residents of the home on N. Beverly Drive were inside when they heard a loud crash shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The home is registered to Dane and his wife, actress Rebecca Gayheart, though neighbors wouldn't confirm if they lived there.

Neighbor Susan Smith said the "very pregnant" lady of the house was upstairs putting her baby to sleep when the tree went down. "We all came running out of the house," she said.

"Thank God we're all okay. We know there are a lot of live wires out there," Smith said.

Firefighters quickly arrived to the scene to shut off power in case any wires were compromised by the high winds. Department of Water and Power officials are still assessing the damage to the wires and residents are being kept from the area.

"These winds that came today were unbelievable," Smith said.

The 100-foot Eucalyptus tree snapped near its roots and landed on a car, causing substantial damage.

"Everything else can be fixed, and they're okay."

Dane and Gayheart are expecting their second child. Dane is well-known for his role on the ABC medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" as the sexy Dr. McSteamy.
