Man Partially Scalped in Fight Outside Karaoke Bar
STANTON -- A man was partially scalped in a fight outside a Stanton karaoke bar Saturday that ended with three suspects in custody on suspicion of attempted murder.

The fight broke out at Karaoke Phoenix at 12860 Beach Blvd shortly after 1:15 a.m.

A 27 year old man from Orange, whose name was withheld, was hospitalized in serious condition.

Arrested were Danny Thuong Vu, 25; Duyem Kim Sok, 36; and a woman, Ngoc Bao Tran, 21, according to Jim Amormino of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

The victim and his girlfriend were apparently socializing with three other people, when the woman and Tran started fighting. The men then joined in.

"Part of [the victim's] scalp was cut off, as well as part of his ear," Amormino said.

Vu, Sok and Tran fled but were captured in Garden Grove after deputies put on a radio broadcast.
