Probation Camp Teacher Sentenced For Staging Fights
PASADENA (KTLA) -- A former probation camp teacher was sentenced Friday to jail for staging fights between students.

Stephen Wesley, 44, pleaded no contest last January to six counts of felony child abuse, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office said in a statement Friday.

He was sentenced by Pasadena Superior Court Judge Terry Smerling to 6 months in jail and three years of probation.

He will also have to take anger management classes.

Wesley, of Winnetka, was a substitute math and science teacher at Camp Karl Holton, a San Fernando Valley juvenile probation camp.

In 2008, a student caught Wesley on video forcing 6 student from rival gangs to fight.
