POMONA -- Authorities are searching for the gunman who wounded an 11-year-old boy in a drive-by shooting outside a home in Pomona.
The shooting was reported at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of Ashfield Ave., according to Pomona Police Department oficials.
He was taken to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center for treatment and was expected to survive.
Police are still trying to determine whether the shooting was gang-related or if the victim was the intended target.
Police say the shooting occurred in an area known for gang activity.
No suspects have been arrested.
