Katy Perry, 'Harry Potter' Win Big at People's Choice Awards
LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- Some of Hollywood's biggest stars turned out for the 38th annual People's Choice Awards Wednesday night at the Nokia Theater in Downtown Los Angeles.

Katy Perry won the most awards of the evening with five, including favorite female music artist, favorite song for "E.T." and favorite tour headliner.

Perry was not on hand to accept the awards, however. She pulled out of the show after her recent split from husband Russell Brand.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" was another big winner. The film nabbed four awards, including favorite movie and favorite ensemble cast.

Actress Emma Stone was a winner twice-over. She received prizes for both favorite move actress and favorite comedy actress for her roles in "The Help" and "Crazy, Stupid, Love."

Adam Sandler won favorite movie comedy actor, and Ryan Reynolds was named favorite movie superhero for "Green Lantern."

TV acting honors went to "Glee" star Lea Michele and Neil Patrick Harris for "How I Met Your Mother," which also won for favorite TV comedy.

Former Disney channel star Demi Lovato was both a performer and a winner, taking home the award for favorite pop artist.

Maroon 5 was the winner for favorite band, and Taylor Swift was the favorite country artist.

Finally, in a brand new category, Morgan Freeman beat out fellow Hollywood heavyweights George Clooney, Harrison Ford, Tom Hanks and Robert DeNiro for favorite movie icon.
