ONTARIO, Calif. (KTLA) -- Investigators now say a Diamond Bar man whose body parts were found in a trash can and two large flower pots appears to be died from multiple stab wounds.

Police in Ontario have identified the victim as 63-year-old Samuel Wiggins Jr., of Diamond Bar.

His ex-girlfriend, 51-year-old Carmen Montenegro, was arrested and charged with murder after allegedly wheeling a trash can carrying Wiggins' remains to a relative's house and asking for help in disposing of the body.

Additionally, Montenegro's children, 25-year-old Daniel Ortiz and 26-year-old Chanel Ortiz, were arrested during a traffic stop in Ontario Wednesday but will not be charged in connection with the case, prosecutors said Friday.

He was last seen by relatives on May 1, and as reported missing to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Montenegro allegedly walked with the wheeled trash can down a sidewalk from her home in the 700 block of North Holmes Avenue to the 900 block of East H Street, where she was arrested, police said.

On Tuesday night, authorities located a crime scene at Wiggins' home in the 232700 block of Meadow Fall Drive in Diamond Bar.

Then, on Wednesday, police searched a home in the 6000 block of Foster Bridge Road in Bell Gardens.

They found additional body parts belonging to Wiggins in two flower pots, the San Bernardino County Coroner's Office confirms.

Police say they have now recovered Wiggins' entire body.

Authorities now say they have surveillance video of Montenegro using Wiggins' ATM and credit cards after he disappeared.

Montenegro's bail has been set at $1 million dollars. Her next court appearance is scheduled for June 6.
