LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- Two people have been taken into custody after leading officers on a high speed pursuit on the 101 freeway Friday morning.

The California Highway Patrol tried to pull over a Mercedes-Benz near the Ventura County border just after 8 a.m. when it was seen weaving through traffic at about 90 mph.

The driver refused to pull over and the pursuit, reaching speeds of more than 100 mph, began.

The vehicle slowed when it encountered heavy traffic near Universal City.

KTLA's Sky 5 HD was over the arrest of what appeared to be a male driver and female passenger.
