The victim has been identified as Jorge Alvarado, 43, of Lynwood.
The cashier at the location ran out of the store to an adjacent business, where she told employees she was being robbed.
Two employees went to the meat market and confronted the suspect as he fled.
One of the employees was armed with a knife and stabbed the suspect in the neck.
The suspect then opened fire on the workers and fled the scene in a van.
One of the men was wounded in the hand.
Alvarado was shot in the upper torso. He died on Tuesday.
A few hours after the shooting, a man was dropped off at a local hospital suffering from a stab wound to the neck.
He was identified as 30-year-old parolee Kyle Henderson.
Investigators also arrested the alleged driver of the van, 47-year old Terrance Fair, also on parole.
A third suspect, 42-year-old Ischa Criner, is also under arrest.
All three suspects are being charged with murder and are being held without bail.
