In addition to all the activities at the event, you'll have the opportunity to see the Moving Wall onsite all weekend long. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Moving Wall will be on display at Auto Club Speedway during the Independence Day weekend. The Moving Wall display is FREE to everyone and will be open for viewing 24 hours a day through Monday, July 5th at 9 am. Saturday, July 3rd at 10 am, a special Vietnam Veterans Memorial Moving Wall Ceremony will be held with several dignitaries to officially commemorate The Moving Wall's appearance at Auto Club Speedway including Undersecretary Rocky Chavez, United States Marine Corp (retired), California Department of Veterans Affairs. A Final Roll Call Ceremony to honor those that have paid the ultimate price is scheduled on Sunday, July 4th at 6 pm. Names honored will be from the Fontana and Rialto area.
The Moving Wall is the half-size replica of the Washington, D.C. Vietnam Veterans Memorial and has been touring the country for more than 20 years. The idea for the Moving Wall came from John Devitt when he visited the dedication of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in 1982. Feeling the positive power of "The Wall," Devitt wanted to share his experience with those who did not have the opportunity to go to Washington, D.C. With help from friends, Norris Shear, Gerry Haver and other Vietnam Veteran volunteers, Devitt built The Moving Wall, which went on display for the first time in 1984 in Tyler, TX. There are now two structures of The Moving Wall that travel throughout the United States. For more information about The Moving Wall, visit www.TheMovingWall.org.

The Auto Club Speedway has an entire weekend of events to celebrate the 4th of July. This Saturday and Sunday, July 3rd & 4th, come experience the intense competition of SCEDA (the Southern California Drag Racing Association) at Auto Club Dragway. Gates open at 6:30 am and racing begins at 8 am. Admission is $15 for spectators.
SCEDA started out back in the early 1970's as the Southern California Econo Dragster Association and was comprised of approximately 50 members who raced a variety of "Competition Eliminator" type vehicles such as front and rear engine dragsters, altereds, street roadsters and funny cars. SCEDA was the "economical" alternative to NHRA's Competition Eliminator class, hence the term Econo was used in our name. As SCEDA evolved into the Southern California Drag Racing Association, most of its members raced open wheeled dragsters. Today, its style of handicap E.T. racing closely follows the National Hot Rod Association's Super Pro, Pro, and Junior Dragster classifications and is open to any vehicle running between 6.50 and 13.99 in "Meziere Electronics", 7.50 to 21.99 in "Mickey Thompson Performance Tires and Wheels" No-E. SCEDA's "Terminator Blocks, Clutches, and Accessories" Junior Dragster program is designed to turn kids into championship drag racers. While the racing in SCEDA is quite intense and competitive, its ideals have always been to retain the family, spirit of friendship and mutual support.
