'Terminator' Actor Charged with DUI
LOS ANGELES -- Actor Thomas Dekker has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of DUI after he sideswiped a bicyclist in North Hollywood.

The 21 year old actor, who portrayed John Connor on the TV series "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," was arrested on October 14 on suspicion of felony DUI and causing bodily harm, according police.

Dekker, who was driving a 2005 Toyota Matrix, is accused of striking a 17-year-old boy who was trying to ride his bicycle past a freeway on-ramp. The teen, who was riding his bike in a crosswalk, was ejected and fell onto the pavement, suffering minor injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The cyclist was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Dekker was charged last week with one count each of driving under the influence and driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or above, according to city attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan.

Dekker was booked into Van Nuys jail and later released on $100,000 bail. His arraignment is set for Friday in Van Nuys.

Dekker has also appeared on the TV shows "Heroes," "7th Heaven" and "House."
