Agents Arrest "Dapper Bandit" at San Ysidro Border Crossing
SAN YSIDERO (KTLA) -- A man wanted in connection with six bank robberies in California has been arrested by federal agents U.S.-Mexico border.

John Richard Martinez, 41, was taken into custody as he tried to enter the U.S. at the San Ysidro border crossing on Friday.

Police believe he's responsible for a string of bank holdups in California, including one in Thousand Oaks.

He was nicknamed the "dapper bandit" because he wore a black golf hat, a sports jacket and a collared shirt in at least one of the alleged robberies.
