CANYON COUNTRY, Calif. (KTLA) -- Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies have arrested four teenagers after a fight over a hand-held video game system ended in a shooting that wounded a teen and killed a Good Samaritan.

The shooting occurred just after 3:00 p.m. Monday at a shopping center at 18354 Soledad Canyon Road and Sierra Highway.

Sheriff's officials said a teen arranged to meet four other teen boys at the shopping center to sell a Nintendo DS game system.

But the boys he arranged to meet planned to rob him, officials said. When they tried, a fight broke out and one of the four attempted robbers pulled out a gun.

An unidentified man, who officials believe was a Good Samaritan trying to break up the fight, approached the attempted robbers with a baseball bat and was shot in the torso.

The teen trying to sell the game system tried to run away, and was shot in the right thigh.

The four suspects -- all males between the ages of 13 and 16 -- have been arrested. They are facing charges of robbery and murder.

Paramedics rushed the robbery victim and the Good Samaritan to a nearby hospital.

The robbery victim was treated for a non-life threatening injury. It was not clear if he has been released.

The Good Samaritan died at the hospital, officials said.

Police said he was a 29-year-old Hispanic male, but they have not released his identity.

Detectives asked anyone with information to call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station at 661-255-1121.
