TARZANA -- A collision left at least two people injured and shut down the westbound Ventura (101) Freeway in the Tarzana area Friday morning.

The crash was reported around 6 a.m. between White Oak Avenue and Reseda Boulevard, said California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball.

At least two people were injured.

Rescue crews had to cut the roof off of a car to free one of the victims.

Both were taken to the hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.

All westbound lanes were closed as crews worked to clear the scene.

The lanes reopened shortly before 7:30 a.m.
