SAN DIEGO -The California Highway Patrol is looking for a white BMW believed to have been involved in a street race on state Route 67 that killed a young mother.

The four-car crash was triggered when a gold Jaguar crossed into oncoming traffic while racing with the BMW, officials said. Alexandria Drake, 25, of Chula Vista was killed in the crash just east of Archie Moore Road at about 11:15 a.m. Sunday, the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office said. Her 4-month old boy was in a child seat in the back of her red Volvo and survived the crash without serious injuries.

Drake's mother was in a car in front of the Volvo and witnessed the crash. The gold Jaguar hit the Volvo head on. The impact of the crash overturned the Volvo and sent it crashing into a tree. The mother's car was also hit by the Jaguar and a motorcycle was involved in the crash, investigators said.

The mother's car was also hit by the Jaguar and a motorcycle was involved in the crash, investigators said. He may face charges once the CHP completes its investigation, officials said.

Investigators are asking witnesses to contact the CHP. to call them if they witnessed two cars, a gold Jaguar and a white BMW speeding northbound on HWY 67 near Archie Moore Road Sunday morning.
