Limes, avocados, mangos are pretty standard stuff for a truck carrying produce; but that`s not what caught the attention of deputies in Montgomery County.
It was the 2500 lbs. of pot hidden in the back of the truck.
Deputies made the bust Wednesday evening when they were trying to help a stranded big rig driver on Highway 59 near Northpark.
Authorities say they found suspicious packages wrapped in electrical tape in the very back of the truck.
Deputies opened the packages and found hundreds of pounds of marijuana worth an estimated street value of $2.5-million dollars.
The truck driver was hauled off to jail.
As for the fruit authorities say the limes, mangos and avocados will be either donated or thrown out.
