Josh Fatal and Shane Bauer were freed from an Iranian prison on $500,000 bail each and transported to Oman in southwest Asia.

In July of 2009 the men along with Sarah Shourd were hiking a remote area in northern Iraq when they got lost and ventured into hostile Iran territory.

They were convicted of being American spies and sentenced to eight-years in prison.

Last year the female hiker Shourd was released for medical reasons, just days before Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was set to speak in front of the UN.

Fast forward exactly one year, the hikers were released today, Ahmadinejad is speaking to the UN tomorrow in New York.

Coincidence or obvious PR stunt?

Either way, we’re just glad Fatal and Bauer are out of the slums and headed back to the mother land.

Wonder what they’ll do first?!

Probably start wedding planning, Bauer and Shourd are now engaged.

We guess love really has no boundaries...not even Iranian boundaries.
