Welcome to “Lindependence Day” because “New York is gone with the Lin” and Houston has him now.
“It’s like a blessing from God,” Lin said during a Thursday afternoon news conference. “I’m glad to be back with this organization”
On Lin’s Facebook page some Knicks fans are upset and some comments even have a bit of a racist tone. New York fans should blame Knicks management. They decided not to match the Rockets $25 million offer.
The “linconomics” of this are crazy. A little more than 200 days ago, the Rockets said goodbye to Lin and his $9,295 game paycheck. Next season Lin will earn $114,228 for each game--that’s a raise!
Let’s hope Lin is not a bust and continues the “Linsanity” he had with New York.
Although here’s a bit “Linsane” Irony: He recently signed a mega-deal to endorse Volvos. The Rockets play home games in the Toyota Center.
