Captured: Stephanie Forester: Female fugitive with a thing for meth and video poker arrested

UPDATE: U.S. marshals have arrested Stephanie Forester, who is accused of leading police on two chases in Washington and Oregon earlier this month.

Authorities took the 29 year old into custody Friday in downtown Portland, after she was seen leaving a building and trying to get into a taxi cab near Southwest 3rd Avenue and Alder Street.

Members of a fugitive task force approached Forester on the street and she tried to run away, but she was quickly apprehended, federal officials say.

Forester has since been booked into the Clackamas County Jail on charges of identity theft, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and parole violation.

She escaped police pursuit, car found later - but she's still running.

On Thursday afternoon, officers from several law enforcement agencies, including the Portland Police Bureau and the U.S. Marshals Service, were involved in a pursuit of a vehicle driven by wanted fugitive Stephanie Forester.

She has warrants for her arrest in Oregon and is considered armed and dangerous.

Police say she's a heavy meth-user and frequentes places where she can play video poker.

The vehicle Forester was ran from the law was found in Vancouver, Washington.
