Office Chair Recall

Posture Perfect office chair recalled (January 20, 2010)

Hundreds of office chairs are being recalled because the legs can break and cause people to fall.

The recall involves about 700 Spine Align and Posture Perfect ergonomic office chairs.

There have been at least five reports of broken chair legs associated with these chairs, resulting in three minor injuries and in the aggravation of an existing back injury.

This recall involves the Spine Align and the Posture Perfect Ergonomic Office Chairs with model numbers 34571 and 34556 respectively.

The chairs were made in South Korea by MooreCo Inc., a company that does business as Balt & Best-Rite Manufacturing. The chairs were sold through catalogs and online by United Stationers, Staples, S.P. Richards and W.B. Mason between December 2007 and October 2009.

If you have one of these recalled chairs, stop using it and contact MooreCo at (888) 446-5161 or for a free repair or a replacement chair.
