Lincoln County Health Department staff meeting

The Lincoln County Health Department will be closing at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27 for a staff meeting.


Lincoln County Homemakers Arts and Crafts Show

Lincoln County Homemakers Arts and Crafts Show will be held Friday and Saturday, March 22-23, at the Lincoln County Extension Office. Times are Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost $5. Proceeds will benefit the Homemakers Programs. Call (606) 365-2447 for more information.


Lincoln¿County Parks sign-ups for baseball, softball and T-ball

Lincoln County Parks & Recreation will be taking Youth Baseball/Softball/T-Ball registration  through Mar 22. You can register at the park office Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or online at


Deadline set for June King Gover Bastin Award nominations

Nominations are being taken for the  second annual June King Gover Service to Community Award, to be given at the Chamber of Commerce banquet. Nomination forms may be picked up at the Lincoln County Office of Tourism. Deadline for return of forms is Wednesday, April 10.


Lincoln County¿Historical Society to meet

The Lincoln County Historical Society will meet Tuesday, April 2 at 7 p.m. in the upstairs room at the Lincoln County Public Library. Each member is asked to bring one item, antique or just old and show and tell about it. Light refreshments will be served. The board will meet at 6 p.m. on the first floor in the Lincoln Room.


Free hunter education course

A free hunter education course, sponsored by KDFW, will be offered Saturday, March 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Classes will be held at the Cedar Creek Sportsman Club located 6.6 miles from Stanford on the new Hwy. 150 E near the Cedar Creek Lake dam. Directions from Stanford, cross the dam and turn left on Sportsman Lane Road to the clubhouse. All students must be at least nine years old to be certified. Lunch will be provided. Fort Logan Auxiliary selling Easter Lilies

Fort Logan Hospital Auxiliary is selling Easter Lilies for $10. Each flower comes in a foil-covered (green, gold or silver) flower pot and will have four to eight blooms. They are healthy and beautiful, and will be great to use to decorate for Easter, March 31. Orders will be taken through Thursday, March 21. Flowers will be delivered Thursday, March 28. We will deliver in the Lincoln County area. All proceeds will benefit the Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital Auxiliary.
