Walter Dean Logsdon Jr., 62 of Hagerstown, Md., died Sunday, March 31, 2013, at the V.A. Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Sept. 17, 1950, in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late Walter Dean Logsdon Sr. and Lillian Starkey Logsdon.
He was previously employed with Grove Manufacturing, Flameless Heating and Supply, Pettit and Griffin, and Pangborn Corp.
He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church.
He was a member of AMVETS and Antietam Fire Co. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR and the Washington Redskins.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Calvert Logsdon; a daughter, Angela K. Kelley of Williamsport; two sisters, Sherry Bietzel and Laura Jedlowski, both of Cumberland; two brothers, Robert Logsdon and David Logsdon, both of Cumberland; and three grandchildren, Anthony Britti IV, Brian Kelley Jr. and Jasmine Kelley.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1525 Oak Hill Ave., Hagerstown. The Rev. George A. Limmer will be celebrant. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
Graveside military honors will be provided by Washington County AMVETS Post 10 and Marine Corps League of Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
