Tuck Wai Ng, 88, of Halfway, Md., passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Williamsport Nursing Home, Williamsport, MD.
Born, Nov. 19, 1923, in Ipoh, Malaysia, to the late Ng Jee Wong and Peh Yong.
Springfield middle schools.
He was a 1941 graduate of Anglo Chinese Boys School in Ipoh, Malaysia; a 1961 graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in industrial arts from Berea College in Berea, Ky.; and a 1963 graduate with a Master of Science degree in industrial arts education from Bradley University, Peoria, Ill.
He was a member of Church of the Holy Trinity UCC, Halfway.
He taught woodworking and other crafts to residents at Homewood Retirement Village. He was a member of Hagerstown Choral Arts and worked with the Literacy Group teaching adults to read and write.
Survivors include wife, Margie H. Ng, married for 44 years of Halfway; son, Mike Ng of Halfway; two sisters; one brother; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no viewing.
A memorial service will be at Church of the Holy Trinity UCC, 17805 Oak Ridge Drive, Halfway on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy Leighton officiating. Burial will be private.
