Born Aug. 30, 1930, in Miller's Crossroads, W.Va., he was the son of the late Blanche Fraley.
He attended Hagerstown High School.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Korea, Germany and Japan.
He was previously employed by Fairchild in St. Augustine, Fla., and Wonder Bread of Hagerstown for 32 years, retiring in 1992.
He was a member of Hagerstown Bible Church, and a shining light for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was an avid golfer and Orioles fan.
He is survived by one daughter, Holly Brunner and husband, Chris, of Hagerstown; one granddaughter, Rebekah Hartt and husband, Stephen, of Waynesboro, Pa.; one grandson, Christopher Brunner and wife, Kelly, of Hagerstown; one great-grandchild to be born in July, Benjamin Christopher Hartt; one cousin, Bob Custer of Hagerstown; two stepdaughters, Lana Jarvis of Colchester, Vt., and Starr Beauvais of Lynn, Mass.; three half sisters; and three half brothers.
He was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Ginger Fluery.

A Celebration of Life service will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Hagerstown Bible Church, 203 Summit Ave., Hagerstown. The Rev. Dale R. Carver will officiate.
There will be no viewing.
