MARTINSBURG, W.Va. —The Martinsburg Planning Commission on Wednesday is scheduled to review a developer’s plan to build a Fairfield Inn in the 400 block of Foxcroft Avenue.
Proposed for a 1.36-acre site next to the Holiday Inn, the hotel and associate parking is the only new business item on the planning commission’s agenda, which begins at 6 p.m. in the J. Oakley Seibert Council Chambers at City Hall, 232 N. Queen St.
The site on the west side of Foxcroft Avenue was previously proposed to be developed for a SpringHill Suites by Marriott a few years ago, according to documents filed with the city planning department.
The hotel currently proposed will have 86 rooms, according to site plan documents submitted last week.
There are nearly 700 Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott locations in North America, according to Marriott’s website.
