Pamela Jean (Porter) Perkins, 60, of Boonsboro, Md., passed from this life Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.
Born June 28, 1953, in West Virginia, she was the daughter of James A. Porter Jr. of Boonsboro and the late Janice Dolores (Grubb) Porter.
She had worked as the manager of the Hallmark stores at Fredericktowne Mall in Frederick, Md., and Valley Mall in Hagerstown.
Pam worked as a volunteer at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
In addition to her father, she is survived by two sisters, Teresa L. Ensor of Fryeburg, Maine, and Constance E. Butts and husband, Ricky, of Knoxville, Md.; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Oreo, who now resides in a new, loving home.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Michael Porter.
A memorial ceremony will be Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 3346 Gapland Road, Rohrersville. The Rev. Wendell G. McClellan will officiate. Final resting-place ceremonies will be held privately by the family.
The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour before the service at the church.
