“I am excited for this year’s sale,” Command Chief Master Sgt. John Alderton, the Wing’s command chief, said in the news release.
“We’re taking it to a higher level than previous years,” Alderton said. “It’s all about providing savings to our military members and their families. Anytime you can do that it’s a great event.”
Airmen from the 167th Airlift Wing and soldiers from the nearby West Virginia Army National Guard’s 157th Military Police Co. will provide workers for the two-day event. The Family Readiness Groups for both units will provide an array of children’s activities, according to the release.
Commissary officials said some savings are by the case with some special bulk package values. Shoppers will be able to save extra money by using manufacturer’s coupons available on site.
Current and retired service members from any branch of service who have a valid Department of Defense, military identification card are eligible to shop at the sale. Military dependents with a valid military dependent identification card may shop without their sponsor.
