The Hagerstown Country Western Dance Association will hold a March Madness dance Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the former Quincy school gym, 7888 Anthony Highway in Waynesboro, Pa.
The dance is open to the public and both singles and couples are welcome.
The dance costs $5 per person.

Ruritan annual auction
The Maugansville Ruritan Club will host its annual community auction Saturday, March 16, beginning at 3 p.m. at its blue building on Maugans Avenue.
The sale will feature new and used items, such as furniture, carpet, tools and household goods. Sale items may be previewed on Saturday morning/afternoon before the sale. The Ruritan Club will have soup, sandwiches, drinks and baked goods for sale during the event.

Dinner and silent auction
Salem Reformed Church, 13182 Salem Church Road (off Cearfoss Pike), will hold a silent auction and dinner Saturday in the Family Life Center of the church.
Doors open at 2 p.m. to view and bid on auction items.
Homemade soup, fried chicken, steamers, green beans, fruit cocktail and desserts will be served from 4 to 6 p.m.
Tickets cost $9. All proceeds will help defray the cost of the youth mission trip this summer.

Ruritan scholarships
The Maugansville Ruritan Club is offering four $1,000 college scholarships to seniors of both private and public high schools in the North End and the Maugansville area.
Applications are available in area high school guidance offices and must be received by March 31.
