Washington County Free Library’s Western Maryland Room is closed until the new main library opens on Oct. 5, curator John Frye said Thursday.
The room’s collection — which includes thousands of items about regional history — has already been moved over to the new downtown Hagerstown library on Potomac Street, Frye said.
The Western Maryland Room has been located at a temporary downtown library branch for about three years while the new library was being built.
The temporary downtown branch closes Saturday.
