Bud was born in Baltimore, Md., on March 24, 1931. He graduated from Mount St. Joseph’s High School in 1949. He joined the U.S. Army in 1951, where he served for three years.
Bud was married to Susanne Marker “Sue” Eavey on July 2, 1952; they were married for more than 60 years. He resided in Ellicott City, Md., for more than 37 years, and then relocated to Ocean Pines, where he and Sue lived for the past 16 years.
In 1965, he began his career with State Farm Insurance, where he worked until his retirement in 1995. Bud was a member of the American Legion and Kiwanis. He was also actively involved in Meals on Wheels, and volunteered his time with the elderly.
In addition to his wife, Bud is survived by his children, Tim (Fran), Joan Hajek (Mike), Mark, Diane Korpa (Mark), Tom (Jale), Brennan and Kerri. He also is survived by 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Harold D. and Edna E. Breidenstein (nee Bussard); and two sisters, Betty and Jane.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at St. John Neumann Church in Ocean Pines on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at noon. A celebration will follow the Mass at the American Legion in Ocean City, Md., near 24th Street. Interment will be private at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
