Neighborhood meeting and tree planting
Elizabethtown East activities include:
- Tuesday — 7 p.m. meeting held at Bulls & Bears, 38 S. Potomac St., downtown Hagerstown
- Saturday — Tree planting; trees will be delivered to 119 E. Antietam St., downtown Hagerstown. The planting is intended to beautify Elizabethtown East. Students may help to obtain community hours.

St. John’s Lutheran church
St. John’s holds a Midweek Joy informal service at 7 p.m. Wednesdays. Weather permitting, the service is held in the courtyard. For more information, go to www.stjohnsfamily.org.
Children’s Village 5K run and kids 1 mile fun run
The Children’s Village annual 5K run and Kids 1-mile fun run is Saturday, June 22, at the Children’s Village campus. Registration is required.
The 5K run/walk starts at 8:30 a.m.; kids event is at 9:15 a.m.; a free tot trot follows. Kids events are free; 5K registration costs $20, $25 after Saturday, June 15; $15 for students.

Locust Point's annual block party slated for June 15
Neighborhoods 1st —Locust Point’s fifth annual block party will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 15, on Ray Street.
Hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided by the city. Bring a covered dish to share.
Sign up at Locust Point Market; indicate what dish you will bring.
Singer Museum Gallery reopening
The Singer Musuem Gallery reopening ribbon cutting will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. The public is invited.
