Boonsboro resident hooks a big fish

Boonsboro resident Andrew Griffith made news in North Carolina last week when he reeled in a citation dolphin while on a fishing charter trip out of Hatteras Marina. He was a passenger on SeaCreature when he hauled in the 40-pound dolphin fish, not to be confused with the mammal! Congratulations, Andrew!


Carol DeBaugh named2011 Ag Expo Queen

Carol DeBaugh, of Boonsboro’s farming DeBaugh Family, was named 2011 Washington County Ag Expo Queen on Saturday evening. Carol will spend her reign working to promote the Ag Expo and agricultural activities. She is the daughter of Matt and Tammy DeBaugh.

 

Car show set for Aug. 6

The seventh annual Pleasant Valley Car Show is coming up on Saturday, Aug. 6, at First Hose Co. of Boonsboro’s substation, 3417 Rohrersville Road south of Boonsboro.
