Earl B. Kline, 90, of Fayetteville, Pa., passed away Feb. 6, 2012, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born Feb. 27, 1921, in East Waterford, Pa., to Frank and Eva (Henry ) Kline.
He was married to Sylvia Pauline Alleman Kline on March 28, 1940.
Earl was retired from Letterkenny Army Depot after 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Armyduring World War II, and was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6168 in Shippensburg. He also was a member of Orrstown Masonic Lodge and George Washington Masonic Lodge in Chambersburg, Scottish Rite and Tall Cedars of Lebanon. He was also a member of the Greene Township Lions Club and the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association.
Earl is survived by his wife, Sylvia Pauline Alleman Kline, and their seven children, Lois A. (wife of Miguel) Rivera of Paris, Ky., Earl (husband of Nancy) Kline Jr. of Shippensburg, Ronald E. (husband of Carolyn) Kline of Chambersburg, Donna M. (wife of Marlin) Johnson of Chambersburg, Larry W. (husband of Cathy) Kline of Orrstown, Dorothy J. (wife of Jay) Peterson of Fayetteville, and Randy L. (husband of Debbie) Kline of Madison, Ala. Earl has 21 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Linda J. Heckman; and a brother, William H. Kline.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home Ltd., Chambersburg, with the Rev. Ronald McElwee officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be held at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, will be handling the arrangements.
