The Downsville Ruritan Club will hold a pancake breakfast Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m. at the old Downsville school.
In addition to all-you-can-eat pancakes, the menu includes two sausage patties, scrambled eggs, pudding, sausage gravy, orange juice, milk and coffee.
Happy birthday to Miss Ida Grimes, who turns 107 on Thursday.
Family-style dinner planned at Rehoboth
An old-fashioned family dinner will be held Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 30 E. Salisbury St.
The menu includes turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, sauerkraut, desert and beverage. The dinner will be served family-style and will be all-you-can-eat. Carry-out is also available.
Tickets cost $9 for adults, $5 for those ages 5 to 11, and no charge for those ages 4 and younger.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at the church office weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. or at the door.

Potomac Garden Club meeting set for Tuesday
Members of the Potomac Garden Club will meet Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Lynn Little, University of Maryland Extension educator, will discuss how to create more heart healthy meals using produce from local gardens.
Williamsport UMC to hold youth event
Mid-Winter Break IV will be held Sunday from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Williamsport United Methodist Church, 25 E. Church St.
The event, planned for youth and the young at heart, will feature the band Prevenient Grace, drama by Ground Zero Masters Commission and living videos by Unchained. The guest speaker will be Janessa Lowans.
The event is free and open to the public.
