Clinton Edgar Martin, 96, of Somerset, Pa., formerly of Williamsport, Md., went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2012, at the In Touch Hospice House.
Born Aug. 18, 1915, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late Henry Nathaniel and Nannie Ella (Mace) Martin. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Catherine Ruby Martin; second wife, Geneva Nadine Ward Martin; brothers, William and Eugene Martin; sisters, Mary Martin Rhoe and Charlotte Martin; and half-siblings, Clarence and Margaret Mace.
Mr. Martin was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired employee of the Alkhan Label Mill in Williamsport, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic in Somerset. He loved going to church, and also enjoyed hunting and fishing, driving and gardening.
Friends will be received Sunday from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, at the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic, 141 Forward Ave., Somerset, PA 15501, with Bishop Irvin Knieriem officiating. A committal service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
