Amy Elizabeth Myers, 91, of Hagerstown, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Williamsport Nursing Home.
Born Dec. 24, 1921, in Claremore, Okla., she was the daughter of the late Albert M. Bolinger and Louisa J. (Stout) Bolinger, who was a citizen of the Cherokee Nation.
She was an avid bowler in a ladies' bowling league. She also enjoyed traveling, seamstressing and needlework.
She is survived by her children, Joyce L. Walker and husband, William P., of Greenbackville, Va., David M. Myers and wife, Mary (Baldwin), of Elkton, Md., and Nancy J. Myers of Hagerstown and Kenneth L. Myers, both of Hagerstown; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Milton E. Myers; and five siblings, Amanda Collins, and Homer, Oather, Nolan and Claude Bolinger.
A funeral service will be Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Ron Key officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
