Alma Jeanette Johnson, 82, of 121 Harbaugh Ave. in Waynesboro, Pa., passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at her home.
Born Wednesday, May 7, 1930, in Clear Spring, Md., she was the daughter of the late Earl J. Miles and Lola (Hawbaker) Miles.

She graduated from Clear Spring High School in 1948, and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Clear Spring.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl A. Grossnickle of Waynesboro and Susan K. Wilson of Mont Alto, Pa.; sons, Troy E. Johnson of Waynesboro and Michael D. Johnson of Lancaster, Calif.; sisters, Ida Mason of Clear Spring, Thelma Burke of Hagerstown, Md., and Judith Burgan of Hagerstown; brothers, Glen Miles of Hagerstown and David Miles of Martinsburg, W.Va.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Lola Isabelle Irvin and Louise Hager; brothers, Jesse Miles, John Miles and Roger Miles; and a great-granddaughter, Emelia Burke.
Services will be Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, with the Rev. W. Allen Reed officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
