Rock Cats Shut Out Brian Johnson and Noe Ramirez combined on a one-hitter as the Portland Sea Dogs defeated the New Britain Rock Cats 1-0 in an Eastern League game Friday night at New Britain Stadium. Johnson (9-2, 2.13 ERA) went seven innings and allowed the one hit, striking out 12 and walking three. Ramirez got his seventh save with two hitless innings, striking out one and walking one. The only run was scored in the third inning, when Sean Coyle hit a sacrifice fly off Adrian Salcedo (1-7, 4.74) to bring home Shannon Wilkerson.
