Caridad Center to provide 1,200 backpacks

Caridad Center, which provides health care to the uninsured and working poor in Palm Beach County, is running a drive to gather backpacks and school supplies for 1,200 needy children who are patients at the center. Each child will receive a backpack and supplies at Caridad Center's annual Back to School Event on Aug. 8. Last year's event provided backpacks and school supplies to 1,500 children.
