Three Injured In Apparent Shooting In New Britain

NEW BRITAIN — Three people suffered non-life threatening injuries after an early morning shooting Sunday.

Capt. Thomas Steck said officers responded at about 3:26 a.m. to the area of Chestnut Street and Columbus Boulevard after a  report of a male who had been shot. An unidentified victim was found in a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Steck said initial investigation indicated the victim had not been shot in the vehicle or at that location.

He was transported to an area emergency room for evaluation and treatment of a non-life threatening injury.
